The  workshop called Social Sculpture at the Nurture Art on Saturday May 12th from 3-5 pm is part of the Repair Workshop series at the Nurture Art Gallery organized by Anne Percoco.  It explores the consumerist cycle of disposal by reusing and redefining function of  common household objects.

We  build furniture with reclaimed materials, chairs and furniture, which later serve public as a sitting area outside of the Nurture art.

The space is limited to 10 people, the participante are asked to  bring some of the following items with you:

– found furniture pieces (such as chairs, pieces of chairs, tables, or anything which can be used for sitting)

– tools (such as a drill, saw, hammer, wood screws etc.)
